It's been a difficult Sunday morning for North Vancouver firefighters and residents of an apartment complex on Saint Andrews Avenue.

According to CBC News, fire broke out around 5 a.m. in a third-floor unit, where it spread to the attic.

The complex is near the intersection with East 14th Street just east of Lions Gate Hospital.

Nobody was injured but News 1130 has reported that 52 residents have been displaced because of extensive water damage.

They will be out of their homes for "some time", according to Fire Chief Dan Pistilli.
