Updated: missing 55-year-old Chilliwack man has been located

      Update (June 21): Upper Fraser Valley RCMP announced that Kevin Alexander Tripp has been located and is safe.

      The RCMP Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment is seeking to locate a missing Chilliwack man, who police and friends are concerned about.

      Kevin Alexander Tripp, who is 55 years old, was last heard from on May 19.

      He is described as a white male who is 183 centimetres (six-feet) tall and weighs 81 kilograms (179 pounds). He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a prosthetic lower left leg.

      He drives a red-coloured 1997 Ford Explore with B.C. license plate BT832C.

      Investigators believe he may have travelled with his dog, who is named Nine, from Chilliwack to the Salmon Arm area.

      Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact local police or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
