Saturday, June 15 march for reproductive rights cancelled

Organizers have announced that The My Body, My Choice March for Reproductive Justice set for tomorrow morning (Saturday, June 15) has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict with the use of the Vancouver Art Gallery's north plaza.

In a statement posted to the March On Vancouver Facebook site this evening, the group said: "We the organizers of the planned pro-choice rally scheduled for Saturday were informed late Friday that the space they had booked for the event at the Vancouver Art Gallery had been double-booked, with a massive tent erected on the north side. Given the lack of space for attendees to gather, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the rally and march. We are deeply disappointed by the miscommunication with the Gallery and look forward to providing information about the rescheduled rally and march as soon as possible."
