Update: Surrey RCMP announced on June 27 that Brycein Toane has been located and is safe.

Surrey RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a high-risk child who has gone missing.

Brycein Toane, who is 3 years old, was last seen on June 18 in the 11200 block of 126A Street in Surrey when he was with his mother Melissa-Sue Seale and his father Dallas Toane.

He has not been seen or heard from since, according to a Surrey RCMP news release.

Dallas Toane was last seen around 8 p.m. on June 19 while Melissa-Sue Seale was last seen around 5 p.m. on June 20.

Brycein Toane is described as a Métis child who is about 91 centimetres (three-feet) tall and weighs 16 kg (35 pounds) with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

The photo provided by Surrey RCMP is of Brycein when he was around 1 year old.

It remains unknown was he was last wearing.

When the Georgia Straight contacted Surrey RCMP, spokeperson Sgt. Chad Greig said by phone that although investigators do not believe Brycein is in any danger of harm, police are concerned about his health and well-being and would like to speak to his parents.

Sgt. Greig said they believe the parents are in the area but would not be providing any details about legal custody.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Melissa-Sue Seale or Dallas Toane, or Brycein Toane, is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477.
