After three seasons in Nashville, PK Subban is on his way to New Jersey.

Today, the Predators traded the 30-year-old blueliner for defencemen Steve Santini and Jeremy Davies, and second-round picks in the NHL Entry Draft in 2019 and 2020.

Subban is coming off a tough year in which he posted nine goals and 22 assists in 63 games.

That was sharply off from the previous year, when he scored 16 goals and recorded 43 assists.

Nashville still won the Central Division this year but lost its first-round playoff series to the Dallas Stars.

Subban spent seven seasons with the Montreal Canadiens. In 2015, he donated $10 million to Montreal Children's Hospital.

He has three years remaining on his contract, which pays $9 million per season.

Santini, a 24-year-old defenceman, has been shuffled back and forth between the Devils and its American Hockey League affiliate in each of the last three seasons.

In April, Davies agreed to a two-year entry-level contract with the Devils after playing the last three seasons with Northeastern University.
