Update (June 25): Coquitlam RCMP announced that the Mary Hill Bypass was reopened by 5:42 p.m. on June 24. One person was reported to have injuries that did not appear to be serious but was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A three-vehicle collision that happened earlier today resulted in road closures that impacted traffic in Coquitlam.

A collision between two tractor-trailer trucks and another vehicle occurred around 12:47 p.m. in Coquitlam. All westbound lanes had been closed on the Mary Hill Bypass between Broadway Street and Pitt River Road.

Due to the size of the vehicles, Coquitlam RCMP were uncertain how long it would take to clear the road.

However at 4 p.m., Coquitlam RCMP announced that one westbound lane on the Mary Hill Bypass had been reopened.

An investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.
