Whistler police are seeking to locate additional victims in a sexual-services investigation.

After Whistler RCMP and the Provincial Counter Exploitation Unit launched a "pimping-related" investigation in April, officers used a search warrant on April 20 in the Creekside subdivision of Whistler and arrested 44-year-old Sam London Hamer of Whistler.

Hamer appeared in a North Vancouver court on June 19 and he has been charged with one count each of procurement and benefit from sexual services.

Whistler RCMP stated that " the safety of those involved in sex work is a key consideration" and has been working with victims to provide them with services and support.

Sea to Sky Investigation Section Sgt. Jeff Shore stated in a news release that investigators have found that there are additional unidentified victims that they would like to speak with.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044.

In August 2011, Hamer was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. In May 2012, he was found guilty and received a $100 fine, a nine-month conditional sentence, and a 10-year firearms forfeiture prohibition.
