Update (July 17): Although the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) announced on July 11 that David Sullivan was located in the U.S., the VPD confirmed on July 17 that the wrong person was located and the search for Sullivan has been reopened.

Vancouver police are seeking to locate a 61-year-old man who has gone missing.

David Sullivan was last seen walking on Alexander Street near Gore Street in the Downtown Eastside on June 27.

He was reported missing to police on July 1.

Sullivan has both dementia and diabetes. He may be confused or disoriented and may ask for help.

He is described as a white male who is 183 centimetres (six-feet) tall and is bald.

He had been last seen wearing a red-and-white checkered-pattern shirt, shorts, and flip-flops. He has been known to wear a chain around his neck with a tag that has his address on it.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 and remain with him until first responders can arrive.
