After a one-year investigation, a man arrested by Chilliwack RCMP has been charged with child sexual assault and child pornography offences.

Upper Fraser Valley RCMP announced today (July 12) that officers arrested 48-year-old Robert Wayne Calvert from Chilliwack on June 19.

Calvert has been charged with allegations dating from January 2015 to January 2018.

The 12 charges include sexual interference, sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, as well as making, distributing, accessing, and possessing child pornography,

Chilliwack RCMP Cst. Blaine Wiese stated in a news release that Calvert has lived in communities around Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island areas.
