Two people hospitalized in Surrey and Langley after shooting near Metro Vancouver park

      After a shooting took place in the Newton area of Surrey on Friday, two people sought medical attention in Surrey and Langley 

      Around 7:03 p.m. on July 19, Surrey RCMP responded to a report about a shooting in the area of Mud Bay Park off Colebrook Road.

      Officers who arrived at the scene found evidence of gunfire in the area.

      At the same time, police respond to a call from 17300 block of 56th Avenue where a man reported that he was suffering from a gunshot wound.

      He was taken to hospital for treatment.

      Then at 7:20 p.m., Langley RCMP received a report about a person who entered Langley Memorial Hospital also suffering from a gunshot wound.

      This victim was associated with the shooting at Mud Bay Park.

      The ages of the victims have not been released.

      The investigation remains ongoing and no connections have been made yet to any other events in Metro Vancouver.
