Man arrested after using hypodermic needle to try to assault five people at Metropolis at Metrotown

      There's a happy ending to this story involving a disturbed man with a hypodermic needle.

      On July 19, he was charging around the Metropolis at Metrotown mall near closing time, trying to jab people.

      But according to CTV News, the Burnaby RCMP believes that he failed to cause any injuries because there was a cap on the needle.

      The 32-year-old male was subdued by officers around 9 p.m. and taken away.

      CTV News reported that he's facing three charges of assault with a weapon.
