Body in Okanagan Lake identified as missing 41-year-old man from Penticton

      RCMP announced today that a body that discovered in Okanagan Lake over a week ago is a person who had been reported missing.

      Around 8:30 a.m. on July 20, emergency crews responded to a report about a body that had been found on the shoreline near the Okanagan Lake Marina. At the time, RCMP did not specify if the person was male or female.

      Today (July 30), RCMP confirmed that with, the help of the B.C. Coroners Service, the deceased individual is 41-year-old Colin Palmer of Penticton.

      Palmer had been reported missing by his family on July 15. He had not been heard from since the evening of July 13 after he was believed to have gone kayaking on Okanagan Lake.
