The area around West 4th Avenue and Alma Street has some of the most expensive residential real-estate in British Columbia.

Last night, it was also the scene of a disturbing car-jacking.

Around 8:30 p.m., a man jumped into a Honda Pilot, which was parked and idling, and forced a pregnant woman out of the vehicle.

According to police, this same Honda crashed into three other vehicles about 90 minutes later near Granville Street and West 70th Avenue.

Police eventually found the suspected driver in Marpole.

A 22-year-old man is in custody and police are forwarding a file to the B.C. Prosecution Service.

According to police, there were no serious injuries.
