Bus full of farm workers goes off road, crashing into ditch in Abbotsford

      A school bus carrying farm workers crashed in a ditch in Abbotsford this past weekend, resulting in some injuries.

      At 8:30 a.m. on September 31, emergency services responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision at Ross Road and 58th Avenue in Abbotsford.

      A transportation bus carrying farm workers had veered off the road and rolled over in a ditch, landing on its side.

      There had been 36 employees aboard, and all were able to exit the bus.

      However, three adult occupants sustained minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment. There weren’t any fatalities.

      Abbotsford police, Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement and WorkSafe BC are investigating the incident.
