Update: Burnaby RCMP stated today (April 1) that Xinming Li was located deceased. RCMP also stated that there are no indications of foul play in relation to his death.

      Original article (September 9, 2019):

Burnaby RCMP are seeking help in locating a missing teenager who may have been in New Westminster.

Xinming Li (李新茗) was reported to have been last seen in the 7000 block of 16th Avenue in Burnaby on September 2.

As it is out of character for him to remain out of touch for this length of time, his family is concerned about his well-being.

He is described as a 17-year-old Asian male who is 175 centimetres (five-feet, nine-inches) tall with a slim build, short black hair, and brown eyes. He wears glasses.

He was believed to be wearing a black jacket, dark jeans, and black shoes, with a small backpack.

Investigators believe that Li may have been in New Westminster in the early-morning hours of September 3.

Anyone who may have seen Li or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-8477.
