Vancouver police investigate suspicious death of 29-year-old man in West End

      Vancouver police are investigating an incident that took place yesterday in the West End, after which a man succumbed to his injuries.

      The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) stated in a news release that after 8 p.m. on September 10, Vancouver police responded to call about an incident near Pendrell and Thurlow streets.

      Upon arrival, officers found a 29-year-old man who had sustained life-threatening injuries from the incident. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

      No arrests have been made yet.

      The VPD stated that the incident, which police deem "suspicious", is believed to be isolated and that there isn’t any danger to the public.

      The name of the victim is being withheld while the next of kin is being notified about the death.
