Local police have launched an investigation a shooting took place late last night in Tsawwassen.
According to a Delta Police Department (DPD) news release, around 11:50 p.m. on September 11, Delta police responded to a report about gunfire in the 5500 block of 18th Avenue in Tsawwassen.
Although there weren’t any injuries reported, a vehicle was found hit by bullets.
Despite a search that included the use of police dogs, officers were unable to locate the suspect or suspects.
According to the DPD, investigators don’t believe this shooting to be related to gangs but is instead due to an ongoing dispute between parties who know each other.
As the investigation is continuing on, police presence in the area has been increased.
