Pedestrian dies in collision with vehicle on Highway 10 in Surrey

      An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was killed in a collision in Surrey on Saturday night.

      Around 10:34 p.m. on September 14, Surrey RCMP responded to a report about a collision at the intersection of 152nd Street and 56th Avenue, or Highway 10.

      Upon arriving at the location, officers found a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

      CTV News Vancouver identified the vehicle as a white Toyota Echo and reported that it was raining heavily at the time of the collision.

      The area was closed until 5:30 a.m. on September 15.
