Days after a shooting occurred in Tsawwassen, Delta police received reports of another shooting—which have yet to be substantiated.

The Delta Police Department (DPD) stated that they received three reports of possible gunfire before 10 p.m. on September 15 near the Big Splash Water Slide Park (4775 Nulelum Way, Tsawwassen) on the northwest corner of Highway 17 and Salish Sea Drive.

Officers who arrived at the scene located more individuals who reported hearing what they also believed to be gun shots.

However, DPD spokesperson Cris Leykauf stated in a news release that despite an “extensive check” of the area, police were unable to find any evidence of gunfire.

No shell casings, discarded weapons, or damaged property were located. No witnesses have been found and there haven’t been any injured individuals located or injuries reported.

      The investigation is continuing on.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact the DPD at 604-946-4411.

This incident occurred in the wake of a shooting last Wednesday.

After Delta police received a report of gunfire in the 5500 block of 18th Avenue in Tsawwassen around 11:50 p.m. on September 11, officers located a vehicle hit by bullets but were unable to locate any suspects. Delta investigators don’t believe the shooting to be gang-related but due to an ongoing dispute between parties who know each other.
