      Original article (September 19):

RCMP are seeking help in finding a vehicle and two suspects involved in a carjacking that took place in the early evening on Tuesday at UBC's Point Grey campus.

Prior to 6:30 p.m. on September 17, University RCMP received a report about a vehicle being stolen at gunpoint.

As a driver was returning to her vehicle on the 10th floor of UBC’s West Parkade (2140 Lower Mall), two suspects approached her.

One suspect held a palm-sized black handgun and demanded the keys to the vehicle.

The victim gave them the keys, and she remained unharmed. However, the suspects fled in the vehicle.

University RCMP are seeking to identify and locate these suspects.

The first suspect (who was holding the gun) is described as a male who may be South Asian. He is about 183 centimetres (six-feet) tall with a slim build.

At the time, he was wearing a grey hoodie (with the hood up) and black-jogging pants.

The second suspect is described as a dark-skinned male of unknown ethnicity who was wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt and pants.

The vehicle is described as a grey 2007 Kia Spectra with B.C. license plate 308PSG.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked not to approach it but to call 911 immediately.
