Police arrest man after woman found dead inside home in Newton area of Surrey

      The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was called out to a home in the 5800 block of 122nd Street in Surrey last night.

      One man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in the residence.

      In a news release, police said that the incident was "contained" to the house and it's believed that the parties knew one another.

      Surrey Now-Leader news reporter Lauren Collins tweeted last night that the home was behind police tape.

      Police do not suspect any connection to gang activities.

      The public is not believed to be at any risk.
