Police incident underway on West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano

      There's a serious police incident taking place in the vicinity of the Kit & Ace store on West 4th Avenue in Vancouver.

      It's in the 2200 block of the trendy shopping district in the upscale neighbourhood of Kitsilano.

      Police roadblocks have been set up.

      It's considered one of the safer areas of the city.

      However in April, a man was gunned down a few blocks to the east in an alley near the corner of West 4th Avenue and Burrard.

      The RCMP revealed that two men were arrested in Vancouver in connection with a murder in Campbell River around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday (October 16). The Vancouver Police Department offered assistance, according to the Mounties; one was caught on West 4th Avenue and the other was taken into custody in the downtown peninsula. One of the suspects was reportedly injured. Their names have not been released.
