Two male youths pepper-sprayed during confrontation at Port Coquitlam high school

      Charges are expected to be laid after schoolground hostilities escalated, involving victims being pepper-sprayed.

      At 12:45 p.m. on October 22, a confrontation involving several male youths took place in the parking lot of Terry Fox Secondary School at 1260 Riverwood Gate in Port Coquitlam.

      During the incident, two males inside a car were pepper-sprayed. No other injuries were reported.

      During the confrontation, school staff put the school on hold and secure, which was lifted one hour after police arrived and determined there was minimal risk.

      Coquitlam RCMP attended the scene and remained at the school throughout the day.

      According to Coquitlam RCMP, all potential suspects at the scene have been identified and all evidence is being examined to determine charges to be laid.
