Police are investigating an early-morning shooting that took place in Port Coquitlam.

Today (November 1), Coquitlam RCMP received a report around 1:30 a.m. about gunfire that took place in the 3000 block of Coast Meridian Road in Port Coquitlam.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

According to Coquitlam RCMP, the investigation remains ongoing and officers found evidence of shots fired but thus far, initial indications suggest that it was not a random shooting.
