TransLink job action affects buses, SeaBus during today's rush hours

      TransLink announced today (November 8) that job action by operators in Unifor Local 100 resulted in a "reduction of frequency" during Friday's morning rush on 25 bus routes.

      The company also announced the cancellations of 16 SeaBus sailings, some during the afternoon rush, on Friday's schedule as a result of actions taken by workers in Unifor Local 2200.

      The workers have been in a legal strike position since midnight on October 31.

      In a release, TransLink's operating company, Coast Mountain Bus Company, said the bus routes affected were 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 20, 25, 32, 33, 41, 43, 84, 152, 156, 183, 188, 189, 403, 410, 430, 555, and 601. 

      The remaining 12 cancelled Friday SeaBus sailings (apart from four morning rush sailings) are: 4:10 p.m., 6:47, 7:17. 7:47, 8:17, 8:47, from Lonsdale Quay; and 4:25 p.m., 7:01. 7:31, 8:01. 8:31, and 9:01, from Waterfront.
