Surrey RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in two separate and unrelated cases, one involving robbery and the other entailing sexual assault.

Around 2:30 p.m. on August 25, a male suspect entered a jewellery store in Central City Shopping Centre. When he asked to look at high-end jewellery, an employee removed the item from the display case to show it to the man.

However, the man then grabbed the jeweller yout of the employee’s hand and fled from the store.

The suspect is described as a black male who is about 20 to 30 years old with a slim build.

He was wearing a beige fedora, beige pants, and a blue-and-white checkered dress shirt, and black and white shoes. He was also carrying a black purse.

In a separate incident, Surrey RCMP are seeking to identify a male suspect who allegedly groped a woman at a Guildford business.

On September 15, a staff member at a business in the 10300 block of 152nd Street in Surrey reported to RCMP that a male customer had groped and kissed another staff member and made inappropriate comments before he left the premises.

The man is described as a 50 to 60 year old South Asian male with a long beard, and who was wearing an orange turban.

Anyone who can identify either of these suspects or who has information about these incidents is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
