After several break-and-enters took place in Pitt Meadows this autumn, RCMP have arrested one suspect and are asking the public for help in identifying three others.
Since October 6, Ridge Meadows RCMP have received nine reports of thefts from mail boxes, vehicles, and storage lockers in the 19600 block of Meadow Gardens Way in Pitt Meadows.
After evidence indicated that either the same individual or a group were responsible for all of these incidents, investigators identified one suspect, who was known to police.
After investigators gathered enough evidence to secure a warrant, 43-year-old Tyler Haden Wagner of Port Coquitlam was arrested at a Surrey residence on November 22.
Wagner appeared in court and is charged with two counts of breaking and entering and committing an offence and two counts of possessing stolen property.
He was released on $1,000 bail with conditions not to enter the City of Pitt Meadows and to attend his next court date in Port Coquitlam on December 5.
Investigators are also hoping to identify three accomplices related to these crimes.
The first suspect is described as a white male with a slim build and facial stubble, who was wearing dark-coloured clothing and a baseball cap.
The second suspect is described as a white male with dark hair and a beard, who was wearing glasses, dark-coloured clothing, and a baseball cap.
The third suspect is described as a stocky white male who was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie-style sweatshirt with a red or orange Under Armour brand logo and dark pants with white stripes.
Anyone with information about these suspects is asked to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-463-6251 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Previously, Ridge Meadows RCMP arrested Kalman Hlavacs of Port Coquitlam in Vancouver on September 27 for a break-and-enter that took place in Pitt Meadows on September 9, and he was connected to several other cases dating back to July.
