Inclusion can reveal itself in unexpected ways.

On Friday (November 29), a Heritage Woods secondary student with Down syndrome was invited to play the final section of a Kodiak Klassic basketball tournament game against Kitsilano secondary.

Normally, Reid Demelo is the team's voluntary manager. But in this instance, he suited up and went on the floor with the game already in the bag for Heritage Woods.

Shortly before the match was about to end, Demelo received a pass from a teammate at the three-point line.

After Demelo nailed it like Steph Curry, he was mobbed by his teammates.
