Abbotsford police arrest 19-year-old male for stabbing male teen during altercation
A male youth has been arrested and charged after another male teen was stabbed during a fight in the Fraser Valley last month.
The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) stated in a news release that on November 15, Abbotsford police received a report about a stabbing in the 33000 block of South Fraser Way.
According to the APD, a verbal altercation between three to four young males turned physical.
A 17-year-old male sustained non-life-threatening stab wounds while two to three males were seen fleeing the area on foot.
On November 28, Abbotsford police arrested 19-year-old Tanner Sithigarn Fox in relation to the stabbing.
Fox faces charges of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and failure to comply with a court order. His next court appearance will be on December 9.
The APD stated that the incident is not gang related.
