After 46-year-old male seriously injured in West End assault, Vancouver police seek witnesses

      Police are seeking to speak with witnesses of an early-morning assault that occurred in Vancouver’s West End last weekend.

      Prior to 1 a.m. on November 30, Vancouver police received a 911 call about an injured man on Thurlow Street north of Davie Street.

      The 46-year-old victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

      However, VPD spokesperson Sgt. Aaron Roed stated in a news release that due to his injuries, investigators have been unable to interview him. 

      Consquently, police are seeking to speak with anyone who has information about this incident.

      VPD describe the victim as a white male who is 193 centimetres (six-feet, four-inches) tall and has a thin build.

      He had been wearing a light grey, patterned dress shirt with black pants and black shoes.

      At the time of the assault, he had been walking north on Thurlow Street from Davie Street on the west sidewalk.

      After the assault, the suspect walked north on Thurlow Street with two other unknown individuals.
