Thanks to some eagle-eyed RCMP officers in Maple Ridge, several suspects wanted on outstanding warrants were apprehended in a series of unrelated cases, which included connections to cases in North Vancouver and Coquitlam.

According to a December 18 new release from Ridge Meadows RCMP, around 8 p.m. on December 17, officers arrested a 44-year-old Maple Ridge man who was known to have an outstanding warrant in the 11700 block of Burnett Street.

Then around 10:20 p.m., police on patrol near Dewndey Trunk Road and Fraser Street saw a man running down the street. Officers arrested the individual, a 38-year-old man of no fixed address, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Maple Ridge as well as one from Transit Police.

Around midnight, an officer patrolling the 22200 block of Lougheed Highway recognized a 43-year-old Maple Ridge man wanted on an outstanding warrant from Coquitlam.

Then around 1:30 a.m. on December 18, officers observed a man riding a bike without a helmet in the 22200 block of 122nd Avenue. When officers stopped him, the 35-year-old Langley resident attempted to give a false name to police but he was known to have an outstanding warrant. Officers arrested him for obstruction and he was wanted on a warrant from Maple Ridge and another from North Vancouver.

All suspects were arrested without incident and held in police custody overnight for appearances in Port Coquitlam Provincial court on December 18.
