Hit and run collision seriously injures 13-year-old boy in Burnaby

      Burnaby RCMP is seeking the public's help in finding a motorist involved in a hit and run.

      According to the Mounties, a 13-year-old boy was sent to hospital with serious injuries—including broken bones and a concussion—after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Humphries Street.

      The collision occurred around 5:25 p.m. on December 23.

      Police have no description of the vehicle.

      Anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything or who has dash-cam or CCTV cameras is being asked to contact the RCMP at 604-646-9999. People can also provide tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

      The collision occurred not far from the Edmonds Community Centre.
