B.C. RCMP have issued a public warning after several female citizens have reported that a man has been exposing himself in Squamish.

Squamish RCMP stated in a news release that as of December 21, it has received several reports of an unidentified man who had been exposing his genitals to females.

The females were alone by themselves in the Downtown Squamish area in the early evening and early morning hours over the past few months.

The male suspect is described as being about 188 centimetres (six-feet, two-inches) tall with a large build, darker skin, and a curly short beard with a moustache.

However, the man may have changed his appearance, including his hair style and facial hair, since the last report.

"We are wanting to encourage women be aware of their surroundings when around downtown Squamish, when they are by themselves, and report anything suspicious immediately to police" Squamish RCMP Sgt. spokesperson Sascha Banks stated in a news release.

Anyone with any information about these incidents or the identity of the male suspect is asked to call Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
