The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has revealed the name of a man found murdered on December 23.

The body of Keeshawn Brown, an 18-year-old Ontario resident, was discovered in a home in the 2200 block of 152nd Street in Surrey with gunshot wounds.

IHIT does not believe that his killing was gang-related.

Meanwhile, Hip-Hop Canada has identified the South Surrey shooting victim as Why-S, who's released several tracks this year, including "John Wick" and "Swagmine".

“Investigators are attempting to determine how long Mr. Brown has been in B.C. and his activities leading up to his death,” of IHIT Det. Lara Jansen said in a news release. “We urge anyone who was with Mr. Brown or has information to assist investigators to contact IHIT.”
