A series of suspicious blazes have attracted the attention of Delta Police.

Four garbage bins were ignited in the 7000 block of 120th Street on December 28 around 9:30 p.m.

One hour later, another fire occurred in a bin in the 7200 block of 120th Street.

Firefighters extinguished all the blazes before police arrived on the scene. The flames caused minimal damage.

“At this time we believe the five incidents are related and were set by one individual or one group of individuals.” Acting Insp. Ciaran Feenan said in a news release. “While the fires were minor in nature and there were fortunately no injuries, we do take incidents like this seriously.”
