Surrey RCMP investigating early-morning shooting in Morgan Creek area

      Surrey RCMP are investigating an early-morning shooting that took place on Friday in the Morgan Creek neighbourhood of Surrey.

      Around 2:10 a.m. on January 3, Surrey RCMP responded a report about gunfire in the 15900 block of 26th Avenue.

      Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Police also located evidence at the location that shots were fired.

      The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

      Meanwhile in a separate case, Burnaby RCMP found an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound after a vehicle opened fire on another vehicle in Burnaby on January 5.
