Updated: missing 60-year-old woman last seen in Burnaby on January 7 has been located

      Update: When the Georgia Straight contacted Burnaby RCMP on January 13, RCMP stated that Kiera Ranger was located on the evening of January 10 and is safe.

      A 60-year-old woman who went missing last year hasn't been seen for the past few days.

      Kiera Ranger was reportedly last seen around noon on January 7 in the Metrotown area of Burnaby. At the time, she was seen wearing a brown leather jacket with fur and a dark-green fleece zip-up, and was walking with a silver cane.

      She is described as a white female who is 168 centimetres (five-feet, six-inches) tall with short, brown, curly hair and who wears glasses.  

      Anyone who may have seen Ranger or has information of her whereabouts is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

      On June 14, 2019, the New Westminster Police Department (NWPD) was searching for Ranger, who had been last seen on June 12. The NWPD later reported on June 17 that she had been located.
