Police are investigating a robbery attempt that took place in Point Grey on Thursday.

University RCMP stated in a news release that a female teenager was walking to school in the Acadia Road area near UBC on January 9.

Around 7:15 a.m., an unknown male approached her from behind and tried to steal her backpack. Luckily, she remained uninjured.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything or who has any information to share is asked to contact University RCMP at 604-224-1322.
