Mere hours after one body was found in South Vancouver, another body has been found in the city under suspicious circumstances.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) stated today that shortly after 1:30 a.m. this morning (January 19), police responded to a 911 call from paramedics at 112 Water Street who were unsuccessful in resuscitating a victim.

A 45-year-old woman had been found dead inside her residence at the location.

No arrests have been made yet and as the police deem the circumstances of this death as suspicious, a homicide investigation is being launched.

The VPD stated that investigators don’t believe there is a risk to the public.

This death is the city’s third homicide of 2020.

The discovery of this body followed shortly after a man was found murdered in the parking lot of Cineplex Cinemas Marine Gateway yesterday evening.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the VPD at 604-717-2500 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
