Bus strikes 82-year-old pedestrian in Burnaby on January 20

      A senior sustained serious injuries after a bus struck him in an early-morning collision in Burnaby.

      Burnaby RCMP stated that at 6:20 a.m. today (January 20), police responded to a report about a bus striking a pedestrian at the intersection of Imperial Street and Royal Oak Avenue in Burnaby.

      The 82-year-old male pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

      Although investigators are still trying to determine what circumstances led up to the collision, they believe he was not in a marked crosswalk when he was hit.
