Updated: missing 13-year-old female from Surrey has been located

      Update: Surrey RCMP stated at 8:05 p.m. that Nikita Joseph has been located and is safe. 

      After her sister recently went missing and was located for a third time, a female teenager has also gone missing.

      Family and police are seeking to locate 13-year-old Nikita Joseph. She has been seen or heard from since she was last seen at 3 p.m. on January 22 in the 6400 block of 12st Street in Surrey.

      She is described as an Indigenous female who is 155 centimetres (five-feet, one-inch) tall and weighs about 45 kilograms (100 pounds). She has dark maroon hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a grey sweater and grey sweatpants.

      She has been known to frequent transit stations and bus loops.

      Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477.

      Nikita and her younger sister Shauntae went missing twice in October, 2019. Shauntae, who is 10 years old, recently went missing again after being last seen on January 10 and was located on January 12.
