Update: The West Vancouver Police Department announced at 6:16 p.m. that Donald Beck was located and is safe.

An 86-year-old man with dementia from West Vancouver has disappeared after being last seen in Vancouver.

The West Vancouver Police Department stated today (January 27) that Donald Beck was last seen at 1 p.m. on January 27 at Royal Centre (1055 West Georgia Street) in Downtown Vancouver.

Beck is described as being 175 centimetres (five-feet, nine-inches) tall and weighs 82 kilograms (181 pounds).

He has short white hair and was last seen wearing black-rimmed glasses, a black leather jacket, dark pants, and black cloth slip-on shoes.

He has a hunched-over posture and shuffles his feet when he walks. He may also appear lost or confused,

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 and remain with him until first responders arrive.
