      Police in the Fraser Valley have issued a public alert about a 25-year-old high-risk offender who is currently living in the Abbotsford area.

      The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) issued a warning on February 3 about Taylor Albert Dueck, who was released from custody on February 3.

      He is described as being 180 centimetres (five-feet, 11-inches) tall and weighs 59 kilograms (130 pounds). He has brown hair and blue eyes.

      He has a criminal history that includes sexual assault, sexual assault of a person under 16 years of age, and sexual assault with a weapon.

      He is under court-ordered conditions that include:

      • he cannot consume or possess any controlled substances;
      • he must abide by a curfew of 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.;
      • he cannot possess any weapons.

      Mission RCMP also issued a warning about Dueck on February 8, stating that he is living in Mission, B.C., and that he is "deemed a high risk to re-offend sexually and poses a risk to the safety of female children under the age of 18 years old".

      Anyone who sees him violating any of these conditions is asked to contact your local police immediately or Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161.
