After two indecent acts have allegedly taken place in North Delta, investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the male suspect.

The Delta Police Department (DPD) stated in a news release today (February 4) that in the afternoon on January 23, a female teenager encountered a male suspect as he was masturbating in a park adjacent to the George Mackie Public Library (8440 112th Street, Delta).

Police attended the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Then on January 31, a woman reported that a similar indecent act had taken place around 6:30 p.m. at North Delta park.

As she had been sitting with her young daughter watching a soccer practice, a male suspect approached her.

While he was behind a chainlink fence that separated him from her, he started to masturbate. When she yelled out to notify others, he ran away.

Unfortunately, she didn’t have a cellphone with her and police didn’t receive the report until two hours later. Although police searched the area, they were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a South Asian male who is approximately 30 years old with a slim build and black hair, and was wearing a red hoodie at the time.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact the DPD at 604-946-4411.
