Efforts to locate a 20-year-old from Vancouver Island have been launched after she has fallen out of touch with those close to her.

Nanaimo RCMP stated today (February 10) that a family member reported on February 6 that they were concerned about the safety and well-being of Kaitlin Bureau.

Bureau is of no fixed address, has no cellphone, and has ceased updating all of her social media. She has also stopped all contact with family and friends.

She is described as a white female who is 168 centimetres (five-feet, six-inches) tall and weighs 64 kilograms (140 pounds).

Anyone who has information about the location of Bureau is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
