As University Endowment Lands resident, 61, goes missing, her vehicle is found abandoned in Burnaby

      Family and police are concerned about a 61-year-old female resident of the University Endowment Lands who has gone missing, along with her dog, and her vehicle was found abandoned in Burnaby.

      University RCMP stated today (February 11) that Monica Winter was reporting missing today when she failed to show up for work on February 10.

      Police conducted a search for her and confirmed she had been last seen on February 7 when she was leaving from her workplace in the 1200 block of West Broadway in Vancouver's Fairview neighbourhood.

      She had last used her bank card shortly after 5 p.m. on February 7 at a grocery store and her fob key was used at 6:20 p.m. in the parkade of her home in the 5900 block of Gray Avenue at the University Endowment Lands near UBC.

      Burnaby RCMP located her blue Toyota Corolla near the Fraser River Foreshore Park on Tillicum Street and Fraser Park Drive in Burnaby on February 10.

      Her dog, Chloe, is also missing.

      Winter is described as a white female who is 165 centimetres (five-feet, five-inches) tall and weighs 75 kilograms (169 pounds).
