A store clerk and a taxi company helped police nab an alleged robber in Delta within a span of 15 minutes.

The Delta Police Department stated that around 8:40 a.m. on February 12, police received a 911 call about a robbery suspected to have taken place at a store on 116th Street in Delta.

A clerk informed police that the suspect was believed to have taken an unknown amount of cash and fled in a taxi.

As the clerk was able to give the cab number and the direction it was heading in, officers contacted the taxi company, which was able to locate the cab.

The driver informed police that a man had gotten out of his cab and ran eastbound on Nordel Way.

Officers arriving in the area spotted the male suspect on train tracks near Nordel Way.

Although he attempted to hide in bushes, police found him and arrested him.

Justin Singh Kahlon, a 24-year-old male from Surrey, is facing a charge of robbery. He is being held in custody until his appearance in court today (February 13).
