Langley RCMP are renewing a call for help in solving the mysterious disappearance of a man who hasn’t been seen or heard from since last year and would now be 42 years old.

Langley RCMP stated that it has been one year since Searl Smith was last seen near Langley Memorial Hospital on February 17, 2019.

At the time, he was wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap, a puffy black jacket, a grey hoodie, and blue jeans.

Since that time, he has ceased being in touch with his family and friends, and hasn’t respond to any voicemail messages left for him.

He is described as a white male who is 178 centimetres (five-feet, 10-inches) tall and weighs 79 kilograms (175 pounds). He has brown hair and blue eyes.

He has a tattoo on his neck as well as one of a red rose and barbed wire on his calf.

He had most recently lived in Creston, B.C., and had previously lived on Vancouver Island before that.

Anyone with information that might assist in locating him is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
