After standoff, North Vancouver RCMP arrest male suspect unlawfully in a residence

      Part of a road was shut down on the North Shore this afternoon as police dealt with an unspecified incident.

      North Vancouver stated on social media at 12:43 p.m. had closed Dempsey Road between Mountain Highway and Hoskins Road while were dealing with an incident in Upper Lynn Valley.

      Although they asked people to avoid the area, RCMP also stated that there was no risk to the public.

      At 2:21 p.m., North Vancouver RCMP stated that the situation had been “peacefully resolved” and there were no injuries among all those involved.

      Officers arrested one male suspect for being unlawfully in a dwelling. The roads have since been reopened.
