A high-risk provincial offender is back behind bars—two days after he eluded authorities by cutting off his electronic-monitoring device.

Kristjon Olson, 38, has been convicted in the past of sexual assault, sexual interference, and possession of child pornography.

Vancouver police arrested the 5'8", 245-pound man on Sunday (February 23) at 11 p.m.

The VPD issued an alert on Saturday (February 22) after he violated the terms of his statutory release.

In addition to removing his electronic device, he also violated a curfew order by leaving his Downtown Eastside residence in the middle of the night.
